| Learn more of my daily adventures via my blog [link] Or Visit my site. [link] Dear Friends, collectors, and all who view my work. I want to take a moment to thank you and give you a glimpse into who I am. I was born in a small town just south of Atlanta GA, Dec. 24th 1961. My 4 younger sisters and I were raised on biscuits and gravy, fried chicken, and butter beans. My parents did the best they could on daddy’s $9,000.00 annual income. We raised our food from the yard and mother made our clothes. Life was very simple then. I married young, never had any children, worked several jobs as a young teen, and eventually found my calling as a small time model and exotic dancer. I worked my way through the industry until my introduction to Playboy magazine in 1989. During my 20’s I managed to be photographed and published over 30 times in many of Playboy special edition magazines, including the cover of Playboys “Girls of Summer” 1990. This was the beginning of a “Jet Set” lifestyle which took me around the world as a feature performer. I met celebrities, and dated beefy guys. Played like there was no tomorrow. I enjoyed VIP treatment and did things that few people ever have the chance to do. I couldn’t have imagined in my wildest dreams a country girl like myself would ever have such a chance. I began drawing spiritual and visionary art by age 5 and as a young teen I progressed into fantasy art. I spent most of my time drawing for friends, family, the school newspaper, anyone and everyone who asked. I actually spent time in the principle’s office for too much drawing and little of anything else. My creative side totally ruled my life and eventually I opened a costume design company in 1990 under the name Bod-A-Bing Designs and began sculpting and designing exotic clothing and accessories for Las Vegas showgirls and other specialty boutiques. In 2005 I decided to try my hand at painting. I started out with abstract and moved into fantasy, visionary and surrealism. I feel my work leans towards raw, dark, powerful, passionate, sometimes disturbing and uplifting all at the same time. People ask me, what is it I paint? My answer is feelings. My art is my only source of income. I live a modest life, filled with appreciation and gratefulness. I wish only to express all that I am in my work. I hope you will find inspiration in the pieces offered here, and that one will find its place in your home. May you be blessed, Sincerely Methec |

"Soul receives from soul that knowledge, therefore not by book nor from tongue. If knowledge of mysteries come after emptiness of mind, that is illumination of heart."
